Hi, I was wondering if you knew whether one could bring a collar and cuffs (there are metal buckles and D-rings) on a plane in their carry-on luggage if they weren’t checking any bags. Have you tried it? Thank you!
It’s certainly not against TSA regulations to have those things, but I have had a security guy literally call his buddies over to “get a load of this” when I’ve had sex/BDSM related items in my luggage. He did let everything on on the plane, though. Other times the TSA has been cool.
So (at least in the US), the answer is that you won’t get arrested or have your stuff thrown out, but they might be a little bit creepy at you, and whether you want to check the bag or not is up to how much that would bother you.
